Maesteg threw away pole position for the First Division title after being rocked by a fighting performance by Narberth.

Despite leading for long periods The Old Parish let their lead in the game slip, as well as their grip on the title, as The Otters came racing clear to win 54-33 in a thrilling game.

The win by Llanharan over Bonymaen outfit by 52-0 was a strange affair in which tries were needed, yet the winners kept taking conversion shots. Yet the weekend's results mean that Llanharan must take seven points from their remaining three games to pinch the championship off Maesteg who have played all their games. Llanharan still have to face Narberth home on Friday, Rumney away on May 11 and then Carmarthen Athletic away on May 15.

Brynmawr gained a fine 26-14 win at Carmarthen Athletic; Beddau overcame a late Rumney effort to win 24-17; Llangennech defeated Tredegar 18-3 and Whitland saw off Blackwood 27-10.
