The Welsh Women's team celebrated their highest ever finish in the European Championships on Saturday despite their narrow defeat to Scotland.

Wales lost by just one point to Scotland after coming back from 11-0 down. A try from Kerry Jenkins and conversion and penalty from the boot of Stacey Saunders closed the gap but despite chances they couldn't win the game.

Wales finished 4th overall in the tournament behind France, England and Scotland and secured an all-important World Cup place. Ireland beat Spain for fifth place and possibly the final World Cup position.
