| Welsh Rugby Union Group Chief Executive David Moffett today attended a meeting at European Rugby Cup headquarters in Dublin.
Mr Moffett said: "We received a fair hearing outlining a plan for four Regional Teams from Wales to participate in the Heineken Cup competition from next season.
"However, because the nine Welsh Premiership clubs and the WRU have not reached agreement on that issue, ERC has asked us to return and present our final option on 2 April, 2003."
It is now Mr Moffett's intention to brief his Board of Directors on today's discussions.
