Dominguez Back For Battle

Veteran fly-half Diego Dominguez has been named in Italian coach John Kirwan's Six Nations team that tackle Wales this weekend.

The Argentine points machine has reclaimed a spot in the squad after an injury to Ramiro Pez forced the Rotherham player on to the bench.

'I'm thrilled to be back with the Italian team,' said Dominguez.

'I am going to enjoy my experiences to the full this season.

'I enjoy competing in high-quality matches against great rugby nations.

'We respect Wales a lot, but we must go out and play our own game and produce a performance the coach can be proud of.'

Dominguez has scored 97 points against Wales in his seven Tests against the Dragons - more than he's scored against any other country.

In all, Dominguez has scored 965 Test points, and is closing in on Neil Jenkins' world record of 1,049.

With Jenkins now seemingly out of the international picture, if Dominguez gets a sustained run out in the Italy team over the Six Nations, he looks destined to beat the Welshman's record.
