| The highly rated back row forward has been impressive since his return to Wales and Blues coach Dai Young was delighted to have landed the former Wales Under-21s and Wales A player.
Young said, “Andy is obviously a quality acqusuition for the region and will add strength and a real physicality to our back row unit. His signing will make our back row even more competitive.”
The 24 year old who has played for Beziers, Leicester and Newport was very impressive in the Scarlets v Blues match up in Stradey Park last season.
Andy Powell added “I’m looking forward to the new season and playing with the quality players they have at the Blues. The coaching set up and facilities are very impressive and I can’t wait for the season to start”.
