HENSON: "I CAN ONLY GET BETTER"

The Wales and Lions centre underwent surgery on his injured groin earlier in the season and started the game in the No.12 jersey.

“I wasn’t interested in playing half a game, or coming on for a bit. I wanted to know where my fitness was,” said Henson. “I was being a bit lazy out there at times because I was trying to conserve energy  -  I didn’t hit a couple of rucks as I should have done.

“But I was fine and I think I can push on from here. It was disappointing to lose by that many points having scored two tries in the first half.

“We were pretty confident at half time but we started to lose our set pieces after that as Leicester put us under a lot of pressure.

“I don’t know what I was thinking when I made that break in the first half. My first touch after five and a half months and I messed it up. But it is difficult when you have been off the pace for so long – everything happens so quickly."
