| Cooper left the field at Twickenham in the Tsunami benefit match last weekend after sustaining the injury and his progress has been continually monitored in the Wales camp.
“Gareth suffered a rotational strain to his right ankle and we now know the injury is sufficiently serious to rule him out of contention this weekend and possibly the week after,” said Mark Davies. “We will have a better idea of the extent of the problem when the results of a scan which Gareth had this afternoon come through.”
