| The tournament kicks off in Rome on 3rd February 2006 when Italy meet France and concludes in Cardiff on 17th March 2006 when Wales meet England at the Millennium Stadium. The Schedule, which for the first time provides for two 'Super Saturdays', was finalised after detailed liaison with all relevant parties with a view to retain the essential qualities and spirit of the Championship while at the same time ensuring that this great tournament will be watched by the widest possible TV audience.
2007 will see Ireland move from their traditional home at Lansdowne Road to the 82,000 capacity stadium of Croke Park, which had up until now only hosted Gaelic sports. Croke Park will host Ireland for 2007.
