Davies can call upon the services of Wales wing pair Mark Jones and Dafydd James to bolster an already strong back division. Barry Davies starts at full-back and Regan King and Mathew Watkins make up the centre pairing.
There is huge experience in the back row, with Davies, with an all-international trio of Simon Easterby, Gavin Thomas and Alix Popham.
And Scarlets number 8, Popham, who lifted the Powergen Cup title with the Leeds Tykes last season, overcoming Bath 20-12 at Twickenham believes the west Wales region has what it takes win on Saturday.
“They are a hard team to play against. They have a big, physical pack and some sharp backs. It’s going to be tough and I think it’s going to be a close game, but hopefully we’ll be able to pinch it”.
“Bath have players coming back from England of the calibre of Danny Grewcock and Steve Borthwick, so it’s going to be tough. As well as that playing against Salesi Finau is always hard to counter”.
