| Alan Hamer will be leaving his position as Head of Group Finance and Admin with the Welsh Rugby Union at the end of June. Alan informed the WRU in December that he wished to leave the Group to pursue other business opportunities. He agreed to remain in post until June to complete the 2005/6 financial year-end before departing.
Mr Hamer joined the WRU in May 2004 and has helped to transform the Group’s fortunes off the field. During his time in charge of finances the Group has announced record breaking profits and has seen its debt reduce by over £30million.
The Welsh Rugby Union would like to thank Alan for his hard work and commitment during the past two years. He is undoubtedly leaving the group on a sound financial footing. We wish him every success with his future career.
