The flanker scored twice and John Docherty, Neil Thomas, Rod Davies and Ardy Tollentino all followed as Athletic inflicted only a second defeat of the campaign for the runaway leaders.

Meanwhile Seven Sisters moved off the foot of the table and swapped places with Mumbles after winning the bottom of the table clash between the clubs in emphatic style.

Rhys Williams kicked 21 points to keep Penclawdd on top of Division Three (west) with a 39-26 win over Tenby United. Carl Long scored two of their three tries. Penclawdd are now five points clear at the top after Trimsaran slipped to a surprise 20-10 defeat at relegation threatened Amman United.

Alltwen showed they were not about to surrender their place in Division Three (South-West) without a fight after clinching a dramatic 12-10 victory over fellow strugglers Resolven. Alltwen are now only four points behind their opponents at the bottom of the table but have a game in hand over their rivals.

Ammanford took advantage of the weather to narrow Pontarddulais' lead in Division Four (West) to just two points. Ammanford beat Cefneithiin 39-14 thanks to tries froom Craig Maloney (2), John McWilliams, Tristan Evans, Chris Jones, Justin Lewis and Dylan Howells while a waterlogged pitched postponed Pontarddulais' game at Crymych.

Heal-y-Cyw ran out easy winners against Aberavon Green Stars, 48-6, in Division Four (south-west) while St David's clinched a vital 11-5 win over Pontyates in their survival battle in Division Five (west).
