Thomas will not be at the Arms Park next season after signing a two-year deal with Sale Sharks but kicked three penalties and two conversions in the bottom of the table clash. Jamie Roberts went over twice while Chris Anderson and Dafydd Hewitt followed as the Blue & Blacks moved five points clear of the relegation zone. Sam Mills scored a try and kicked ten points for Pooler.

Ospreys star Matthew Jones scored one of Neath's eight tries as the Welsh All Blacks kept a tight grip on top spot with a 54-23 win at Carmarthen Quins. Stephen Thomas, Aled Bevan, Craig Mitchell and Gareth Jones all scored after a tight first half.

Bridgend had to rely on a last gasp try by replacement Roger Davies to see off Llandovery 27-24 at the Brewery Field. The visitors led through tries from Gareth Bennett and Tom Walker before Davies went over in the 80th minute.

Andrew Jones was the hero for Bedwas in their 13-6 win over Newport while Gavin Quinnell grabbed Llanelli's third in their 24-14 win at Aberavon.

Jason Pocock kicked 17 points as Pontypridd crushed Ebbw Vale 32-8. Swansea ran-in five tries in their 37-17 win over Maesteg for whom Wales veteran Allan Bateman scored.

Glamorgan Wanders kept up their good form with a 31-15 win at Cross Keys.
