Wales Team Doctor Professor John Williams gives the WRU Website an update on the ‘walking wounded’ ahead of the second Test against the World Champions in Pretoria this weekend (Saturday).
WRU Video: Prof John Williams on the Wales squad injuries

Prof Williams has run his expert eye over the entire squad in the days since their bruising 43-17 defeat to the Springboks – a score which, as unwanted as it was, still represents Wales’s smallest margin of defeat on South African soil to date.

And he has only one long-term injury victim to report in Matthew Rees, who has now returned home to be replaced by fellow hooker Rhys Thomas.

Thankfully, no-one else has been ruled out of contention for selection this weekend, but there are still plenty of bumps and bruises to report – not least a broken nose for flanker Jonathan Thomas. However, he’s not going to let that stop him from pulling on that red jersey.
