Wales were among the silverware winners at the Adelaide leg of the IRB Sevens World Series over the weekend – taking the Shield title after beating Canada 12-7 in a keenly contested final.
Adelaide is the sixth of the eight rounds of the World Series, Wales having beaten Japan 26-17 in their final Pool B match after losing 28-17 to Samoa and 19-17 to Tonga on Day 1.

A 17-12 defeat against Scotland in a Bowl quarter-final was followed by a superb 19-14 victory over England in the Shield semi-finals before Coach Gareth Baber saw his side pick up the Shield silverware with the win over Canada.
