Phil Davies has opted to field a full-strength side for the must-win EDF Energy Cup clash against former side Leeds Carnegie tonight (Friday).
The Scarlets Director of Rugby has called on his big guns following the 18-11 defeat to Bristol last Sunday. Wales stars Stephen Jones, Dafydd James, Matthew Rees and Alix Popham start for the first time this season along with Scottish international Scott MacLeod.Davies said: "There's a lot of frustration with the players after the Bristol defeat, but we have to put that to good use building up to the game against Leeds.

"We need to get our set-piece accurate and get a better contact area going forward and be a bit smarter with the football."

Daniel Evans is handed the No.15 shirt as fullback Morgan Stoddart has sustained a slight injury, an opportunity that Davies is sure the youngster "will grab with both hands”.
