Cross Keys's route to the final saw them draw their opening game 19-19 with Bedwas before beating Pontypool 38-12. Cross Keys then qualified as runners up and faced Newport in the quarter-finals, who they defeated 7-5. In the semi-final they beat Ebbw Vale 26-17 before running out of steam in the final.
