| The 23-year-old, who will remain at Billesley Common until January 31st 2008, could play for Premiership side Gloucester while at the English National League One club.
Gloucester, who finished top of the Premiership last season, before losing to Leicester in the final, have close links with Moseley, and all of Gloucester's England Academy players are dual registered.
The outside half will train at Kingsholm at the start of each week, and, if he catches coach Dean Ryan's eye, can be promoted to the first team squad of the former Challenge Cup champions.
Jones, who has one Wales cap, faces stiff competition for places at the Ospreys, with James Hook, Shaun Connor and Gavin Henson also vying for the number ten shirt.
And he says that time spent away from the Liberty Stadium could be beneficial to the advancement of his career with the Magners League champions.
"Although I am leaving the boys for a period of time, I recognise that I need game time and this arrangement with Moseley offers me that," he said.
"This gives me the opportunity to continue my development by training with Gloucester RFC, which will hopefully give me the prospect of Guinness Premiership experience."
Meanwhile Wales U21 scrum half Nick Griffiths has left the Ospreys to join Pertemps Bees. Griffiths played only once for the Ospreys last season, spending most of the campaign playing for Bridgend in the Principality Premiership, scoring five tries.
He had trials with Worcester this summer and, although they did not offer him a contract, the Warriors recommended him to the Bees, where he replaces departing Australian scrum half Rod Petty.
