Gareth Thomas insists Wales will bounce back from their tour defeats to Australia.
The Wales Captain believes their will be no better time than when they next face the Wallabies in the Rugby World Cup. Wales went down 31-0 in Brisbane as injuries before kick-off and during the first half took their toll on the touring team.

Thomas insists Wales will get it right when they square up to Australia in Pool B of the Rugby World Cup in Cardiff on September 15th 2007: “This result will obviously have a bearing for the coach in terms of selection but it doesn’t mean anything for players at the Rugby World Cup.

“I’ve always believed that rugby is about what happens on the day. There will two very different teams on the pitch and anything can happen. I’m very down as are the rest of the players. I don’t think we really gave the best account of ourselves here tonight.

"I think we’re a lot better than this game showed and we’ll prove that at the Rugby World Cup. Australia taught us a harsh lesson about keeping the ball but we will go away and learn from this and we look forward to seeing them again at the Rugby World Cup.”
