| The meeting was held between the Group Chief Executive of the Welsh Rugby Union, Roger Lewis, the Chairman of the WRU, David Pickering, and representatives of the ASDA Division One East and West clubs, Beddau and Bonymaen.
Welsh Rugby Union Chairman David Pickering said: "We have all found ourselves metaphorically between a rock and a hard place over this issue, but we have remained determined to achieve the best possible outcome for everyone involved in Welsh rugby."
The Group Chief Executive of the WRU, Roger Lewis, said: "We are hopeful and confident that together we can positively resolve the issue in the best interests of the game and I believe we can find a positive solution which can take us forward."
Following the meeting the two clubs have accepted the WRU's invitation to meet the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the union in the Millennium Stadium at 4pm on Friday, May 18th to discuss the matter.
